About the KTM Logo
Engineer Hans Trunkenpolz set up a metalworking and car-repair shop in Mattighofen in 1934, an operation that grew into motorcycle production after World War II and gave the firm the "Kraftfahrzeug Trunkenpolz Mattighofen" name behind the KTM initials.
